At St. John’s Church we proclaim our faith in Jesus Christ when we do Christ’s ministry, whether it be serving a meal to the poor, providing assistance to the working homeless, helping veterans convalescing in hospitals and their families, or reaching within to our fellow parishioners in time of need.

The Book of Common Prayer states “the ministry of lay persons is to represent Christ and his Church; to bear witness to him wherever they may be; and, according to the gifts given them, to carry on Christ’s work of reconciliation in the world; and to take their place in the life, worship and governance of the Church.”  The duty of all Christians is to follow Christ; to come together week by week for worship; and to work, pray, and give for the spread of the kingdom of God.”

St. John's Property Ministry

The Property Ministry serves the daily needs of St. John’s physical plant. Day to day tasks and preventive maintenance are the committee’s most important activities. Being part of our Property Ministry can be hands-on as we strive to ensure that this sacred and historic place remains welcoming to worshipers and visitors to this sacred and historic place.
